Finding your Weakest Link

Updated: Oct 12, 2023

"A chain is only as strong as its weakest link." It's a quote that we have all heard growing up;

to not be the weakest link also meant to not be the person that ruined something or made something go bad..whether that's your hometown softball team, or a number that brought down statistics at the college you went to because you decided to drop out..

but what if we all looked at that quote in a different light? If you were the weakest link and you wanted to change that... what would happen?

Let's get a little personal, I started this blog about 2 years ago and as you can see I haven't been very consistent. There's always an excuse. "I don't have time." "There's more important things to do." "It will never get me anywhere." and the list goes on and on and on. When I started this blog, I had no clear vision of its purpose, the only purpose it had was for me to have a space to publicize my thoughts and that was it - hence the name "where thoughts become caught". Now? It's so much bigger than that. I want it to inspire people. To motivate people. To show people that the shitty days don't mean forever. To show that you can be successful with anything as long as you put your mind to it.

Who am I to inspire others when I'm not even inspiring myself? Most importantly, who am I to tell someone else, "Oh you can do it. I believe in you." if I never believed in myself? That right there, is my weakest link.

So this is my attempt at breaking that weak little link. That link that says I don't have what it takes to succeed or inspire people across the world. The link that makes up those excuses to not be consistent.

Breaking your weakest link means freeing yourself of your own shackles - that's what will happen. Achieve your damn goals. Get out of your bed or off the couch or toilet that you're reading this on, and go do something that will put you closer to your goals than you were yesterday. Break your chain, to create your own change. Start now.
