Outlandish Opportunities & Positive Perspective

"You may glory in a team triumphant, but you fall in love with a team in defeat." - Roger Kahn

Often times, we seem to forget that rock bottom only exists when there's always a wall to climb.

We all have the days, months, hell even years, that makes it seem like:

1) None of the shit we do is ever good enough.

2) We seem to let life control us instead of us controlling our lives.

and 3) we forget about the shit that makes us keep going.

So what is it that makes us keep going after all?

Is it the huge comfy bed we get to end our day in? The sweet soulmate who you come home to & seems to make every bad day turn into one of the best? Or, is it the sweet simplicity of being alone & finally having the time to do what you want, when you want?

Whatever it is, never forget what it is that makes you keep going. You never know what the next day holds, or the next month, or the next year, or ten. Yes, life may seem like it's got this huge grudge against you at times, but what about that night with your friends when everything just felt like it was in its place exactly where it belongs? Or the day you walked into work dreading a certain task & one of you coworkers says they got it done for you?

Never forget what makes you keep going.

At the end of the day, it's all about perspective & the people you surround yourself with.

I could list a million examples of shitty scenarios where you can turn it around into something you can get growth out of, but this isn't a blog for just me. Everyone has their own thought process, their own way to help them get through a shitty day.. but the biggest thing here is look at every challenge as an opportunity for growth. If you look back on all the bad days you had & look at you now, where would you be without those bad days? Yeah, we can sit here & say things like, "Oh, I'd have a much more simple & peaceful life." but, would you really? If you didn't have that knowledge to fall back on in order to get through the next bad day, or the one after that? The answer here is an absolute no. With those bad days, also comes knowledge & wisdom. You wake up each day not knowing a damn thing about what this world is going to throw at you this time. If every day life threw you a fastball, it would start to get pretty boring once you've mastered the home-run hit off of that kind of pitch don't ya think?

So, I don't know about you, but I'll gladly take a changeup or a curveball every once in a while. After all, we may like a tray of nachos at every game, but who likes the constant same shit, different day type of life?

Homerun.

Ending score?

Life: 0 You: 365
